Autism spectrum disorder now affects 1 in 68 Children. Boys are nearly 5 times more likely than girls to be diagnosed with ASD.
Autism spectrum disorder is not degenerative. Individuals with ASD can continuously improve. They are most likely to improve with specialized, individualized services and opportunities for supported inclusion.
At AEO Sports, every child having fun is of top importance and as such, we ask parents and other individuals attending our events to make the pledge to be a role model to children in attendance. We want you to lead by example by modeling proper sportsmanship, encouraging children, celebrating every new accomplishment, but not at the expense of others. After all, they are children and their focus is on having fun and learning how to play the game, they are not worried about the score unless the adults tell them to be. You do not need to be an expert at basketball or soccer, you need to keep time and make sure the players are being safe. For soccer, you need to know that the only person allowed to touch the ball with their hands is the goalie, everyone else who touches it with their hands can be called for a foul.

AEO Sports is excited to offer you the opportunity to have your children involved in basketball & soccer this fall. We focus on ensuring every child that signs up gets the same opportunity to play and have fun regardless of their physical or intellectual abilities. Additionally, we want this to be an environment where parents can relax and let their kids be kids without fear that they may not be understood and to fellowship with each other. Our main focus is to offer you and your child an environment where you feel like family. Every child will get to play, there are no tryouts , and although teaching children that sometimes you win
and sometimes you don’t is essential to their development, we will do so in a way that helps improve sportsmanship, teamwork , and love for one another. Practices and games all take place the same day and will always be on a Saturday. Practice will commence no earlier than 1 hour before the game. All teams will be co-ed. Scrimmage games will be dependent on age group and number of participants
